Abstract
Fungal sinusitis is a relatively rare disease. Currently, the number of patients with fungal sinusitis has been increasing. Conditions that predispose to fungal infections include: diabetes, long-term treatments of antibiotics or cortisones, radio- and chemotherapy, immunosuppressive treatments, and patients with disorders of the immune system. Most cases of fungal sinusitis are unilateral. We treated a patient with bilateral fungal ball that underwent chemotherapy for lung cancer. Here we report this case of bilateral fungal sinusitis and review the medical literature.
